NEN3610 conformity review of IMAER
In January 2016, Geonovum conducted a quality review of IMAER, the AERIUS information model. This concerned IMAER’s conformity to the NEN3610 standard for information models in the field of geo-information.
NEN3610 contains terms, definitions, relationships and rules related to geo-information. They form the common basis of the various underlying sectoral information models. The standard simplifies the exchange between parties and information systems. By conforming to the NEN3610 standard (and by using GML as the exchange format), an information model also complies with the Dutch government policy on open standards for geo-information.

IMAER conforms to the NEN3610 standard. Improvements could be made and are desirable in certain areas, such as in the harmonisation and exchange with other information models.
Following the review, IMAER was included in the Dutch technical register of geo-standards.
