Development sprints #27 and #28: Building Register

Wednesday, 22 April 2015

The AERIUS development team have been building a large part of Register, over the past weeks. The newly developed functionality allows permit issuing officials to enter approved applications for room for development ('Segment 2') into Register. Applications are placed in a queue, according to the 'first come, first served' principle.

These developments were guided by the Register working group, which originated from the Workshop permit issuing and Register which was held on 9 and 10 March. During this workshop, the functional demands on Register, in relation to policy and the permit issuing process, were identified. Over the last period, the working group has contributed to turning these demands into concrete specifications for Register.

The developed queue ensures all competent authorities have sufficient time to handle the permit applications they receive, without the risk of violating the 'first come, first served' principle with regard to issuing room for development. To ensure a smooth process of registration of the issued room for development, various aspects of Register's database were either newly developed or adjusted.
